Dental Bonding for Chipped Tooth

Dental bonding is a treatment where we shape tooth-colored resin onto your tooth to repair damage and restore its shape. We harden the resin with a special light so it blends in with your natural tooth.

This patient had a chip on one of the front teeth. We used bonding to rebuild the missing corner and match the shade of the surrounding teeth. In the after photo, the tooth looks complete again and sits evenly with its neighbor.

Bonding is often a gentle choice for a small chip because we usually remove little to no natural tooth structure. Many cases can be finished in one visit. Bonded teeth can stain or chip over time, so we will show you how to care for the repair.

If you have a chipped tooth, call us soon so we can check it. A small chip is not always an emergency, but the sharp edge can irritate your tongue or lip. Results vary from person to person.
