ACFD Christmas Charity

In lieu of Christmas gifts or parties our staff contributes a monetary amount to a Charity fund. We have been fortunate to receive outside contributions from the Lincoln component of the Nebraska Dental Hygiene Association and Sapp Brothers Petroleum. The practice matches the total amount collected and then a contribution is made to a charity. For the last three years we have made “Friendship Home” our designated charity.

DR TREAT PARTICIPATING IN MISSION TRIP TO NEPAL
WITH HIMALAYAN HUMANITARIAN DENTAL PROJECT

Dr. Treat and her husband, Charlie, will be traveling to Nepal in early spring of 2009 to participate in a dental clinic in Kathmandu at Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School, founded to meet the needs of children from the remote Himalalyas where there are no schools.

The clinic will be providing dental care to children from several schools and orphanages in the Kathmandu Valley, who would otherwise not have the opportunity or resources to receive dental care.

Dr. Treat and her husband worked with this organization on a similar trip to India in 2006 and found it to be very personally rewarding.

Dr. Hedlund will be available to provide any necessary care to the patients of Dr. Treat during her absence. We appreciate your understanding.
