I love coming to work every day to see our patients and be part of a successful dental team. The employees of ACFD work well together to make that happen. Helping people with their dental problems is my calling.”

Areas of Interest
Dr. Hedlund enjoys all aspects of dentistry. He treats patients from infants to seniors. The area of cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers is of particular interest thim. A poor or embarrassing smile can lead to loss of confidence and self-esteem. A smile is something we should all be able to share. The opportunity to give a patient a beautiful smile is very important.

Family
Lou and his wife, Carla, are the parents of Maggie and Anna. In his spare time, he enjoys physical fitness, Husker football, boating and snow skiing.

Joshua M. Svoboda, D.D.S.

I am Dr. Joshua M. Svoboda and I am excited to introduce myself to you and your family. I look forward tmeeting each of you. Most importantly, please be assured that I share Dr. Treat’s philosophy of providing you with the best possible dental care, and that an emphasis on excellence will be the hallmark of this practice. I’m also very excited about the outstanding technological advances currently taking place in dentistry, and you will soon be able to benefit from them. After all, you are used to a very high standard of care from Antelope Creek Family Dental and I will work hard to continue providing the best for you.

I grew up in Columbus, NE and received my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Prior to dental school, I worked in a laboratory setting for two years where I realized my desire to continue my education and become a dentist. I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2007. After completing dental school, I worked in Omaha, NE splitting my time between two dental offices as an associate dentist providing comprehensive care. During that time, I married my wonderful wife Melissa, who recently completed her advance degree as a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse practitioner. Throughout the past six years, I have taken hundreds of hours of continuing education to further my development as a more complete dentist---clear braces, sleep apnea, implants, sedation dentistry, root canals, etc.

In my free time I enjoy golfing, biking, cooking and entertaining our dog Madison. Melissa and I enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling, Husker football games and attending Creighton Bluejay basketball games. We look forward to growing and raising our family in Lincoln.

Because I’m committed to keeping you informed, I’ll be sending periodic newsletters containing special offers, information on new services being offered in our practice, and new trends in dental care.

Helping people is a passion for Dr. Treat. Whether relieving someone’s pain or giving you a beautiful smile, she uses her skill in dentistry to make her patient’s lives better.
